SVT349 | Oliver Koletzki – Oliver's Hands On Vol.2
Book now! |
For the second volume of his 'Hands on' series, Stil vor Talent boss Oliver Koletzki returns with a solid set of sun-streaked, groovy chuggers. True to the pop-infused progressive touch he's come to advocate through his own compositions and various remixes over the years, Oliver's rework of Brigado Crew 'Symbiosis' packs that mix of beach sunset-ready dreaminess and apex-climbing buildup to overflow any dance floor it visits with hair-raising panache. The second cut 'There is Something Special about Boxhagener Platz' dwells the more intimate side of the spectrum with its slo-dripping suavity unfolding to the soft, hazed out tap of jazzy drums and liquid-like slap bass moves. Summoning the debonair funkiness of his most silken blends, Koletzki has us diving headlong into a milk-and-honey-ish pool of sound, fusing the very finest of sluggishly sensual boogie with his impeccable flair for finding the sweet, lighthearted melody that will stick with you and shake off any sour feeling effortlessly. |
SVT348 | Bákayan – Fireflies
SVT347 | Hidden Empire – Beyond The Realm
Book now! |
Label stalwarts Hidden Empire are back at it this winter with the first volume to their new diptych release. Comprised of three cuts that span the pair's sonic universe far and wide, 'Beyond The Realm' packs the very kind of hair-raising fuego to turn any dance floor upside down and have you zoning out to unknown spheres in the blink of an eye. Inspired by a journey to Mexico during which they could experience the country's deeply mystic atmosphere and its vibrant, colourful culture, this new effort's aim was to "catch the spirit of the time, infusing it with a danceable rhythm that wraps around you like a hypnotic spell" the duo explains. All about "embracing the now" and "creating an emotional journey that's both introspective and irresistibly groovy", 'Beyond The Realm' summons the hi-NRG chug of heavy-duty techno wares and laces it up with a tang of balearic-flavoured melancholy and thunderous EBM/dubstep, wobbling with menacing presence as the groove unfolds, languid and sensual. Attacking pedal to the metal, the title-track is archetypal Hidden Empire at its most driving and mesmerising. Fusing the washed-out serenity of coastal house with rogue dubstep outbursts and modular-like escapology, all treated to a gridlocked 4x4 pattern that creates this sort of unsuspected floor alchemy, 'Beyond The Realm' encompasses the pair's motto to a T, full with that "melancholy that uplifts, that makes you want to dance through the bittersweet moments". A more prog-minded affair, the second number 'Take You For A Ride' reels off a straightforward tech-housey groove and fleshes it out with synth-heavy, peak-time-ready breaks and drops that get the adrenaline rushing wildly as the tension builds up and swoops down upon you like a bird of prey. Shutting the blinds on this new transmission, the Italo-infused 'Wanna Dance' rounds it all off on a supremely sexy finale of whispered sensuality, steely keyboard onslaughts and proper thrilling sequencing, swinging the pendulum between unbridled backroom cheekiness and relentless autobahn-surfing vibrations. |

SVT339 | Kellerkind – Forest Mystery
Book now! |
Two years on since his latest incursion on Stil vor Talent with 'The Pictures', Switzerland-based producer Kellerkind turns in his newest four-tracker, 'Forest Mystery'. Delving in his natural inclination towards mystique-imbued tribal sounds, this new effort packs a serious Afro-futuristic kind of punch, laced with a powerhouse hi-tech feel bound to cut a path of devastation across the dance floors. Fully designed and kitted out to meet the requirements of extensive DJ use, this new package lets its whirlwind of polyrhythmic boogie and cosmic groove do the talk as Kellerkind ushers us in a blazing furnace of sorts. Where the title-track 'Forest Mystery' flexes a bouncy swagger flush with middle-eastern tropes - including some fiery darbukkah solos, and nicely complemented by classic piano house stabs, flamenco-informed clapping and a hi-intensity buildup to rev it all with irresistible club impact, 'Karinda' treats us to a further hypnotic sequence of stripped-back East Coast grooviness and dubbed-out sensuality, bridging the gap between loungey house and proper ritualistic music thanks to spellbinding shaman-like vocal samples out the foggiest jungle. On 'Mantra', a more aggro, industrial-flavoured verve echoes far and wide, ready to take on any sound system with both that typically intoxicating vox hoodoo wrapping itself around a thunderous techno backbone. Giving us a taste of eternity on the nostalgic closer 'Time', Kellerkind pulls out a massively emotional firework of Prophet-6-powered space dementia and intricate drum programming, laced with an unstoppable bass-driven landslide devouring everything in its wake, making clear 'Forest Mystery' dwells in the club and nowhere else. Set your woofers to 11 and blast away. released August 25, 2023 |

On “Candyflip”, the third sneak peek of his forthcoming “Trip to Sanity” album, Oliver Koletzki shifts gear and puts the pedal to the metal. The EP’s title track is pure forward momentum with its neon synth euphoria that rushes over a muscular body, generously pairing menacing bass with percussive storytelling. Next up, the arppaggio-driven “Mantra for Bora” settles somewhere between Psy-Tech and Italo, craftily working tropes of both into a climax of total dissolution. No matter the elements, one thing’s clear – Koletzki is ready to overtake. “Chasing Holes” then literally flips the candy on its head, taking off on auto-pilot, fueled by flamenco guitar licks and funky hand drums a-top a strong house groove. A word of advice, fellow ravers: Buckle up for a joyride through the depth of night – sunrise is on the horizon. released September 08, 2023 |

Third and final number in the thrilling cascade line-up preceding the drop of Hidden Empire's eagerly-awaited newest long-player, "Momentum", there goes the standalone burner of a tune, "Alright". Encompassing all of the pair's idiosyncratic merger of styles - from pop-laced Italo to spaced-out techno wares, through jagged motorik and heavily mecched-out jacking house, this new single shows off Hidden Empire's wide arsenal of pyrotechnics under the most compelling of lights, equally at ease busting the limits betwixt wave-ready electro material and more DJ-focussed functionalism, either way stacking maximum energy to squeeze dance floors under irresistible levels of funky disruption, sensual vocal drifts and an ever impressive intuition as to what ravers need in the heat of the moment. Treat yourself. released March 10, 2023 |
SVT327Y | Hidden Empire – Last Call
Book now! |
Second chapter on the way towards the anticipated release of their third studio album on Stil vor Talent, "Momentum", here comes Hidden Empire's second single, "Last Call". Tapping in the duo's trademark seam of EBM-laced techno bound for hi-impact dancefloor hustle and further far-reaching, cross-dimensional escapology, this second instalment delivers a serious amount of craggy electro reliefs to surf and synth-splattered jack to sync your brainwaves to. Whereas the lead number "Last Call" has us journeying to straight out Moroder-esque territories, flush with the aptly configured palette of fuzzy space disco bass, fast-paced Italo churn and vocodized talk for good measure, the second track "Avalanche" opts for a more brooding, deadlier approach. Cutting its path away from prying eyes, this one finds Hidden Empire pulling the stealth weaponry to absolute hypnotic effect - perfect for serious in-between peak time business with its thick, thriller-like tension, mist-shrouded atmosphere and surgical focus. One more to go until "Momentum" blasts its way across your woofers. Buckle your belt and brace for impact. released February 10, 2023 |

SVT325 | SKALA – Beide Alleine
Book now! |
A few months on since the release of her long-awaited debut solo release for the label, "Liquid Gold", SKALA returns to SvT with "Beide Alleine" to round off what's been a busy and decisive year in her irresistible rise. Carving out its own singular lane at the confines of stripped-back pop melancholy and more tribal-oriented electro/techno dynamics, SKALA's sound finds its most strikingly vivid and understatedly poignant incarnation on the title-track - here presented in both extended version and radio edit, never quite picking a side between club-readiness and abstract-leaning digressions. A compelling mix of bass-driven forge-ahead girting a heart-wrenching core of strings and acoustic piano felicity, where SKALA's voice blooms to further impressively genuine, emotional fruition. Low-key house number "Tout Le Monde" weaves a distinct kind of headspace for your hazy mind to wander in, just as immersive in essence as its counterpart. Repurposing the piano to sustained use throughout five minutes of loungey escapism and after-flavoured hypnagogia, SKALA beckons us onto a path of meditative serenity via a superbly textured assemblage of dubbed-out chords and crisp, post-indus rattling drums; scraping at that seemingly quiet surface of glossy envelopes to better reveal the troubled waters that flow beneath. released November 4, 2022 |

SVT321 | Annett Gapstream – ANNETT GAPSTREAM | LOCAL DIALECT
Book now! |
For our next transmission, Stil vor Talent goes meridian-crossing, traveling from Berlin to New York with the talented likes of Annett Gapstream and Big Apple-based outfit Local Dialect for an epic round of IQ-endowed, stadium-sized body music. Following on from her contribution to the label's 300th anniversary triptych last year, Gapstream serves up two climactic tracks marked by a highly cinematic character and packed with the kind of big-room firepower that'll get everyone on their knees no matter how early or late in the set. "All Over" strikes first, and dishes out a mix of liquid-like, dynamic chug rubbing shoulders with cavernous pads out a Gotham vigilante score. "Odds Are Good" trades the spacious, forward-rolling strut of the previous for a more jagged programming, fleshing it out with layers of cosmic arpeggios and trouble-brewing sub-bass onslaughts to brush a complete tableau of otherworldly escapism. NYC's very own duo Local Dialect pick up the torch with two joints fusing a tribal approach to rhythm with next-level engineering. A true hybrid weapon, "Yaksha" blends in strains of classic prog techno and house, forging something of a compelling momentum lushly adorned with spiralling synths, stripped back to the absolute essential for enhanced floor-sweeping effect. "Gandharva" caps off the release on a more Italo-informed, EBM-ish vibe. Tapping in the genre's typical palette of bouncy arps and fast-paced bass stunts, it evolves into a proper astronautical epic, perfect for either an improvised voguing near the Sea of Serenity or busting moves at the end of a NASA module's robotic arm. released August 12, 2022 |
SVT320 | Andy Anderson – System Breach
SVT319 | Andy's Echo – Haze
SVT318 | Township Rebellion – Doppler
Book now! |
About a year on since their last incursion on the label, acclaimed German duo Township Rebellion resurface on Stil vor Talent with a fresh new three-tracker, right on cue for the busy festival season ahead. Titled "Doppler" after the EP's eponymous lead-track, this new effort also comprises two previously released cuts remastered to further compelling effect, bound to make quite the impact on the dance floor with their all new, fully revitalized sound design. Music to sync your brainwaves and jack your body to, unremittingly. As per each occurrence, Township Rebellion show themselves eager to take over the clubs' sound systems with optimum style and firepower, and "Doppler" sure attests to their inimitably floor-efficient approach. The lead single "Doppler" is no stranger to Arthur Wagner and Marlon Mürle's signature blends, flush with tribal-infused motifs, peak time cliff-hangers and thunderous outbursts all set against a progressive epic of soaring synths and skull-crushing kick drums. Dwelling the interzone between pure big-room banger territories and unpredictable drifts into wider, open-ended electronic realms, their music eschews classification, forever that nomad sound roaming the confines of DJ functionality and frame-breaking otherworldliness. Both presented in sharper-than-ever remastered versions, "Baud" and "About A Tribe" makes for perfect contrapuntal companions to the electrifying, broad scale epic that is "Doppler". An ominous call rallying all souls eager to sail off onto higher raving spheres, "Baud" leaves no stone unturned in its machiavellian plan to merge all dancers in one throbbing mass of energy. Meanwhile, "About A Tribe" showcases the pair's intuitive attraction towards mystique-imbued folk music and polyphonic rhythms, infusing that soulful melodic search into a blazing maelstrom of hi-tech electronic engineering, piano-house addiction and wistful, post-trancey hypnosis that will have you climbing the stairs of euphoria on your hands thru and thru. released May 20, 2022 |
SVT317 | Gespona – Kune
SVT316 | Kadosh – Unanimously

SVT314 | Fabian Krooss – Higher State
Book now! |
Hot on the heels of his recent "Planet D" EP, label stalwart Fabian Krooss returns to Stil vor Talent with his anticipated new release, "Higher State". Featuring all of that elementary Krooss-copyrighted sound palette, this new effort finds the Berlin producer exploring further ahead the concepts of minimal trompe-l'oeil and electro-acoustic roguishness that flowed across his previous iterations, resulting in an ever streamlined, pared-to-the-essential quartet of club-ready cuts. Surgically executed and bound to get all booties shaking in a two-mile radius. Drenched in reverbs and machinic processes, "Unchained" draws first blood with its engineering of bubbling bass onslaughts and steel-clad percussions going hard against nostalgic swashes of brittle chimes and flat chords. One foot in a celestial paradise of sorts, the other wading in a sea of molten metal. A subdued dub affair laced with big-room focused electroid tendencies at first, "Higher State" progressively trades that chaotic opening for a steadier momentum, getting each bar tidy for the accordion-like home run to exhale its flavours with optimal results. Hips wiggling and feet shuffling, the bouncy, tropical-hot "Frechdachs" is no straight walker but rather well a cheerful churner primed for metronome-busting action down the mosh pit. Sway, roll, shake off the dust from your shoes and repeat. Final number "In Between" caps it off in sheer mesmeric Andalusian-style. Serving up an oddball mix of FX-riddled, raucous electronics and refined Spanish guitar riffs, it's a feast for the senses that unfolds, deep and lush as it gets. Fabian Krooss in top shape, as ever. released April 15, 2022 |
SVT313 | Hidden Empire – Signals
Book now! |
Hot on the heels of their 2021-issued sophomore album, "Lost Spirits", German duo Hidden Empire clock back in on SVT with "Signals", their new triple menace of an EP inbound for extensive action across the dance floors this spring and summer. True to the lush and pulsating, stadium-sized vibes that innervate all of their previous outings, this new delivery puts forth the pair's nonpareil knack for weaving ambitious club narratives both intricately conceived and organically enjoyable right off the bat. A new benchmark release for an outfit that withstands the all too overused coinage of "all killer no filler" with this hard-to-resist triplet of natural belters. Leading the way, the doped-up title-track "Signals" goes straight for the jugular with a raucous, pressurised bass paving the way and steel-clad percussions pulling out bone-obliterating punches from the blue, geared and processed to circuit-blazing efficiency. Subtler in style, "Comoja" trades the all-out nasty robotic swagger of the opener for a more spacious kind of headspace, fusing the syncopated charm of Afro-informed polyrhythmic bursts with streamlined deep house envelopes to elevate each and every molecule of your being into rapturous plenitude. Back to a less ethereal, harder-hitting EBM/Newbeat-ish state of mind, "Alright" wraps up the journey on a hi-NRG, Knight Rider-friendly type of treat, lacing it with soulful vox and church-like choirs that give the track a perfect balance between heavyweight pound and vaporous breaks. released April 1, 2022 |
SVT312 | SKALA – LIQUID GOLD
Book now! |
Following her maiden contribution to our 300th milestone VA issued a couple of months ago, Berlin-based SKALA clocks in on Stil vor Talent with her debut solo effort, "Liquid Gold". A three-track alchemy of sultry atmospherics, shamanic brainwaves and further spaced-out, big-room-focused momentums, this EP resounds as a statement of style from a burgeoning artist in the process of establishing her non-pareil voice in our scene. Breaking the EP in, the mystique-friendly title-track "Liquid Gold" taps in a seam of slo-burning, folk-informed house and laces it with future-ready engineerings. Imagine stepping in a smoke-shrouded den where your body and soul make one with that of the crowd's, glowing silhouettes stretching their odd contours out convulsive tides of stroboscopic lights and steamy emanations from the jam-packed engine room. The second cut doesn't drift much farther from that sensually dark, night-loving ambience made hers by SKALA. Out of a similar palette of ominous machine spurts and hip-swaying, metronomic swagger, the vibes pour in to incendiary effect. "Ivory" rounds it off on an even wilder, more menacingly ambivalent note, doing the splits between a brittle, melancholy-infused melody and a trampling groove, tailored to march over the club with maximal tonnage. credits released March 4, 2022 |
SVT311 | Sam Shure – Malfunction
SVT309 | Niko Schwind – Inner Sky
SVT308 | Oliver Koletzki – Made Of Wood Remixed
Book now! |
Published earlier this year, Stil vor Talent main operator Oliver Koletzkis ninth studio full-length Made of Wood" gets the remix treatment courtesy of label staples Super Flu, Fabian Krooss, AFFKT and newcomer Kunterweiß, each of whom add their distinctively vivid and elegant spin to Koletzkis tribal-informed, drum-centric narratives. First in line, high-profile Halle duo Super Flu takes on the desert caravan groove of Copal with a deluge of sub-heavy gunnery, processed oud, darbukas and incantatory whispers weaving a mist-shrouded tableau of hi-tech shamanic ritualism primed for climactic big-room use. SVT alum Fabian Krooss then tweaks the nostalgia-drenched Picture (feat. Judith Ahrends) into an infinitely sleek, smooth-tongued delight of whirling electronics and enticingly hypnotic pop motifs - perfect for either sunrise or sunset limb-shaking with your loved one. Or a good, healthy cry too. Back to a hyper dynamic mindset, AFFKTs hi-octane reshape of Made of Cashmere goes straight for the jugular with its paced-up EBM meets electro-rock momentum. A savage groove paves the way and its a no-nonsense thunder of raucous riffs and cosmic arpeggios that awaits for the dance-floor. But are they ready? Going the more intimate path, Kunterweiß rounds it off with a muted downtempo revisit of La Veleta, meshing the slo-blazing suavity of the slap bass with Andean flutes and an enhanced focus on faux-organic textures and envelopes to lose yourself in. |

SVT301 | Township Rebellion – 혼돈 과 질서
Book now! |
One year on since the release of their latest EP, “Rituals”, German flagship duo Township Rebellion returns to SVT with “혼돈 과 질서” (“Chaos and Order” in Korean). Clad in some kind of sci-fi-indebted dystopian - yet no hopeless - scenario, the twofold EP summons ambiguous visions of a world caught in limbo between technologically advanced societies bound to collapse and ambitions for a brighter future through enhanced levels of empathy and understanding that long to surface. First is “Chaos”, a slo-blooming roller that steadily swells towards proper club epicness as its arpeggios unfold. Tapping into 80s-laced, Moroder-friendly Italo with a train-like electro-swing for the main conductor, the cut reels out like the soundtrack to a bumpy otherworldly dream where shapes, colours and sounds entangle in a cosmogonic ballet of sorts. Flip sides and here is the steely, yoking counterpart to TR’s free-flowing opener, “Order”. Flexing its metal muscles and giving maximum room to martial kicks and AI-implemented programming, the track reels out like a brooding call-to-arms, merging thunderous echoes with a truly enslaving gridlocked groove. SVT298 | Kellerkind – The Pictures
Book now! |
Hot on the heels of his recent full-length “Mindtrip” issued last year on SVT, label stalwart Kellerkind turns in a fresh four-track transmission primed for open-air summer epics and extended sessions of soulful uplift. Named after his father’s band, “The Pictures” rustles across Marco Biagini’s warm sound palette far and wide, from velveteen shades to hair-raising momentums, through entwined polyrhythmic structures and incendiary synth dash. Title-track “The Pictures” engineers a lush melange of left-of-centre guitar riffs, rattling drums and emotional piano, soon making room for jaunty keyboards to bloom with uncluttered amplitude. Second is “Dunun”, a tropical-hot joint brewing fevered batucada drums with a muscular bass, roaring electro swing and eerie demon voices surfacing from deep out a mystic forest. An overwhelmingly emotional house number, “Hope” aims for the stadium with its hectic crescendo guiding us across equally dark and luminous meanders of sound, full with a pulsating flow of piano stabs, oscillating synthlines and haunting coloratura. Scanning the gap betwixt trip-hop, nu-jazz and shuffling house, closing cut “Early Morning” drips with hazed-out suavity and soul, making it the perfect jam to bump out while serenely emerging from an all-too chill, dreamy slumber. SVT296 | Oliver Koletzki – Made of Wood
Book now! |
On 'Made of Wood', his ninth full-length album since 2007, Oliver Koletzki embodies the seasoned craftsman, carving out his deeply personal sonic sculptures with a confident, learned hand, while experimenting with a broad range of thrilling ideas and fresh textures. The result is an organically flowing, yet decisively shaped work of art, that naturally concludes a trilogy of albums Koletzki embarked on releasing with 'The Arc of Tension' and followed with 'Fire in the Jungle'. Initially written in Tulum, Mexico, during the pre-pandemic winter of 2019, 'Made of Wood' is physically entwined with the primeval forests that continue to inspire its maker: In the subsequent year it took to complete the album in Berlin, Oliver, aided by numerous live musicians and vocalists, brought his sketches to life with a focus on wooden instruments like djembes, marimbas, santoors or duduks, sculpting a natural sound that's warm in timbre, rich in groove and literally made of wood. Thanks to the imperfection of the human hand, the album sings with a bold vibrance that stretches from the LP's slow carnivalesque opener 'Caravana De Los Elefantitos' to the blue horns and Wennink's lamenting coos on the concluding ballad 'Turn'. Intermediately, Koletzki's rhythmic explorations take the shape of mythic odes ('Dear Mexican Jungle'), boisterous tribal dances ('La Veleta'), floor-focussed shakers ('Copal'), handpan-driven epics ('Cryptozoology' feat. Walter Scalzone) or subdued oriental belters ('Serpiente Del Ritmo' feat. ELIH) – emphasising his control over light and dark tonalities, over organic and synthetic sounds alike. Most strikingly, Oliver slowly breaks away from the album's natural feel in the mid-section, in which the disorienting, abstract stunner 'Picture' (with Niko Schwind & Judith Ahrends) rubs shoulders with the synth-crescendos of the bouncy 'Made of Cashmere', while the 14-minute long meditation 'A Starseed's Journey' makes for a powerful penultimate breather later on. Next to the meticulous attention to instrumentation and his instinctive touch, these twists and turns underline that Koletzki feels entirely at ease on 'Made of Wood' – like the true artisan he is. SVT294 | Fabian Krooss – Planet D
Book now! |
After setting the tone with two originals and one remix with us back in 2020, Berlin-based producer Fabian Krooss returns this year with his debut solo sortie, 'Planet D'. A nod to the ecological nonsense that envisages salute in departing our beloved 'Planet A' for other celestial bodies to tear down - such as a fictional 'Planet D', the EP runs the gamut from minimalistic club grooves to blissed-out tropical chuggers, via further atmospheric excursions. Whilst 'Time To Act' serves up a dynamic symphony of FX-laden elements joining forces to fight off anxiety for our future, Theo Meier’s revamp takes the track into further functional club territory with clinical poise. The even lusher 'Night Owl' reels out as an ode to nature and its healing powers, bringing forth a vibrant mix of bassy power and refined, balearic-informed ambient scapes, whereas Midas 104’s version injects just the right amount of bounce and jazz into its hypnotic folds. 'Watatata', a collaboration with Jacob Stille, smoothly takes you on the other side with an innovative and playful touch and 'Twisted Mind' simply rounds it all up with an intergalactic bang. Channeling earthly energies with a strongly poetic power of evocation, 'Planet D' is an invitation to refocus, carried by the hope of fuelling a new, sustainable vision for tomorrow. |

On 'Suddenly Silence', Cioz lets excited synths swirl over a determined, dub-induced beat, reaching a midway crescendo that keeps on giving until it has made all your hair stand on end. 'Cosmic Noise', its counterpart, explodes with a similar palette of colourful sounds that wash over a shuffling, percussive framework shining brightly by way of Cioz' playful love for detail. SVT286 | Hidden Empire – Lost Spirits
Book now! |
'Lost Spirits' is an exploration in sounds for dancing. Catalysed by the catastrophe that was 2020, Hidden Empire step off the stage and retreat to the studio on a quest to find out what moves the people. They seem to have found it. One out of the box, this 16 track album is designed for diversity. Hidden Empire oar their creative rudders, lending their hand from techno to deep house with a cheeky reach-around to a more downtempo vibe. The first three tracks send you down the rabbit hole on a toe-tapping, hip-slapping aural escapade to the heavier edge of techno, the sublime vocals of Artche taking you directly back to those dancefloor moments when time stands still. Taking the stairs two at a time in polyamorous heels, you’ll fall in love with the sassy, classy, savage vibes of ‘Resurgence’ and ‘Dark Matter’. Transitioning to a more tribalesque vibe is ‘Organic Train’ a cut which blends the primitive, esoteric influence of the old world with the punchy, industrial sounds of the new world. Continuing on the exploratory sound voyage of downtempo, broken beaten space techno, ‘Mr. P’ stands in the forest listening to the plants talk to the people. Bebetta slips in with her inimitable style in the collectively inspired ‘All of Us’, keeping the Fun Dial turned right up. Delving deep into the tundra, ‘Hectic Dreams’ becomes reality as the album turns towards the chunkier end of the musical spectrum. Punching out the bass-heavy bangers like 'Once Upon' (with a cameo from South African slam poet & spoken word artist The Lazarusman), Hidden Empire roll out with a flurry of cuts that are limitless in the genre and luminous in effect. The ‘Lost Spirits’ album is a nod to the certain kind of limitless magic which happens when people come together, without preconceptions, to get lost in the music together. Packed full of 100% pre-pandemic dance-floor approved cuts, wrap your ears around these tasty morsels, in anticipation of a live show where we can all dance together en masse. SVT283 | Oliver Koletzki – Oliver's Hands On EP
Book now! |
It's well-known that Oliver Koletzki isn't afraid to get his hands dirty when it comes to remixes. One need to look no further than his 2019 anthology 'Remix Tales' as a testament to the fact that the Berlin-based legend can put a very personal spin on just about any track. His new 'Hands On...' EP is another shining case in point. Here, we're treated to reworks of two recent staples of his DJ-sets: Mike Tohr & Amari's progressive-trance hymn 'Borax' and Niko Schwind & Felix Raphael's emotional masterpiece 'Circles'. While Oliver delivers a deeper, more immersive perspective in his drumming and atmospherics on 'Borax', the original synth lead shines as bright as ever. 'Circles', meanwhile, turns into a fruity groover in Koletzki's hands, without losing its emotional edge thanks to the clarity of Felix Raphael's resounding vocals and an epic crescendo. Surely made with distant dance-floors in mind, both remixes are crafted to also get lost in – whether that may be at home, dancing by yourself or during sunrise at a rave deep in the woods, you decide. SVT276 | Kellerkind – Mindtrip
Book now! |
If music was a meditation, Mindtrip sits in the realm of the liminal: traversing boundaries, borders and polarities. An invitation to delve into the (master)mind of Marco Biagini a.k.a Kellerkind, his third studio album is a therapeutic peregrination of sorts, as the Swiss producer channels the ups and downs on the roller coaster of human experience. And what a time to be released: as the world turns inwards for a time of solitude, reset and reflection, this must be the soundtrack. Drawing inspiration from the radio, to days-gone-by in the club, to his much favoured hang or hand pan, Kellerkind weaves these influences into this twelve track album, displaying the full spectrum of his musical wizardry. This is where we see Kellerkind come into his own. The album develops organically. Anthemic turbulence builds dramaturgy, releasing into gentle flow which offers a subtle sense of solace. Multifaceted high notes ring out in spacious, almost reverent tones, with slick synths traversing soaring, monastic soundscapes. Like life itself, these highs are contrasted with the lowest of bass-heavy reverbs: grimy, resonant, deep. Collaborations include The Mesmerising Circle, the fruit of a dalliance with maestro Oliver Koletzki - in synchronistic alignment the original melody composed by Koletzki includes the handpan, which features heavily throughout the album. Uyezwa features the divine vocals of Zimbabwean singer Oluhle. Meditative, introspective, emotive: Mindtrip takes Kellerkind out of the club to deliver a dose of sonic space-holding. The message? Take a trip into your own mind: let music be thy medicine, and medicine be thy music. Artwork by Peter Feiler: https://peterfeiler.com/ |

Part homage, part prophecy: Fire in the Jungle is the 8th studio album from Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner Oliver Koletzki, released on 15 November 2019 by Stil vor Talent. With sounds as diverse as the stamps collected in Koletzkis passport over the past 18 months, Fire in the Jungle is a statement in itself: complex, verdant, the product of years of growth. From the arid desert tundra of Australia, to the lush turquoise beaches and sacred sites of Mexico, to the dusty Playa of Burning Man: these rich and varied landscapes, people, experiences have strongly influenced Koletzki in the production of this multifaceted masterpiece. Musical maestro and storyteller Koletzki expertly weaves live instruments with a range of electronic music production techniques, with producers Sam Shure, Township Rebellion, Hidden Empire, Niko Schwind and Cioz taking listeners on an extraordinary aural peregrination of genres and styles. Lyrical and vocal collaborations with Monolink, Aparde, Temple Haze and Lisa Who are layered with Koletzkis signature sound, adding their unique influence to this distinctive 16-track album. Running the gamut from full-power, bass-heavy dance floor anthems to slower, more sultry tracks, the dramaturgy of this album is matched only by the eclectic exotica and psychedelia of the jungle. As the Amazonian jungle burns, this versatile and thought-provoking album raises important questions about what sustains us and asks us to reconsider the egoism and laziness of the human species. One thing is certain: Fire in the Jungle will set your feet, heart and mind ablaze. Artwork by Peter Feiler

'Magna Mater' subtly amps up the dramatism with subdued atmospheres atop a gritty bassline that build up to an ear-splitting crescendo, giving the energy a sharp boost. Final track 'Magna Spe' appears leaner and more restrained, making for a great tool to develop or intensify tension in any part of the set. " Artwork by Dennis Müller |

While working on his next full-length album, the Berlin-based artist, DJ and label-owner Oliver Koletzki looks back onto an impressive career and a plethora of styles and moods, best exemplified by the diverse set of remixes he's been crafting for prolific friends and outstanding musicians for close to a decade. For 'Remix Tales', Oliver has now compiled his personal favourites, with some previously unreleased, high-impact material forming the icing on the cake. Stylistically, 'Remix Tales' exemplifies Oliver's chameleon-like approach in the studio, as dynamics shift from organic dreaminess to high-octane club-fare, all held together by the trademark musicality that shines through every single Koletzki production. While recent remix highlights such as Monolink's 'Swallow' or Giorgia Angiuli's 'Nothing to Lose' rub shoulders with classics like HVOB's 'Dogs' and Cassius' 'Toop Toop', it's the inclusion of Oliver's previously unreleased 2017 rework of Howling's 'We Stole The Night', as well as the freshly remixed Koletzki & Schwind track 'Camps Bay', that add unexpected and particularly precious twists and turns to this rollercoaster of an anthology. 'Valhalla' opens Hidden Empire's Alexandria EP with a dynamic yet apprehensive approach, as a relentless bassline gradually unfolds along convoluted synths. Stand out track 'Alexandria' captivates from the get-go with its subdued bassline supporting a spellbinding melody, timely accented by spacious pads. What makes it so captivating is the subtle sense of dynamics and keen manipulation of energy, a common trait encountered on all the tracks in this release. Hazy groover 'Sierra' follows in the same vein, shifting energy through assorted sequences varying in dynamics and layers. Meanwhile, 'Odessa' is a straightforward, unapologetically monumental slice with big breakdowns centring on triumphant synths, closing out the soundscape in a grandiose fashion. On November were greeted by grand melodies with huge, spacious pads and monumental breakdowns, the perfect ingredients to spark up those emphatic, hands-in-the-sky type of moments. Meanwhile, Monocloque flips the script and reveals ample pads in a spectral, dark sound palette, decked with ominous synths and looming resolutions. Splatters of percussion and haphazard chords are key on Compass North, rounding up the release in a similarly lofty yet dance-provoking manner. |
SVT233 | Kellerkind – Playground

Kellerkind unleashes sprightly melodies that liven up the floor in his Playground EP, consisting of an assortment of filler-free grooves. Those Nights is outlined in bold sound strokes - radiating synths and catchy, twilight-drenched vocals lead to a near-apocalyptic breakdown. A straightforward, punchy slice, its arguably the danciest cut on the release, with the other three following closely. Meanwhile, Playground is centred around a tribal-infused melody accented by wind instrument loops with a predominantly eerie aesthetic. A stripped-back cut with playful ethnic vocals, Lelelales charm lies in its minimalist backdrop that puts the emphasis on the vocals and exotic instrumental bits. The Smooth Operator exhibits a subtler atmosphere, melding equal parts groove and feeling into a heady sound while remaining in the same auditory realm as the rest of the EP. |

SVT216 | Hidden Empire – Mind Palace
Book now! |
Bridging instrumental tact with melodic mysticism, live act and DJ duo Hidden Empire present their debut album Mind Palace, the fruit of their labour of one whirlwind year. On Stil Vor Talent they find a welcome home, having already gained traction with several releases on the label as well as other renowned imprints such as Suara and Filth On Acid. Ranging from downtempo electronica to iterative techno with groovy house incursions, the diversity of the genres explored across the 16 tracks mirror the Cologne-based artists own sonorous influences as well as their diverse musical sympathies. Fluid, atmospheric tracks set a consistently lush vibe overall, from the esoteric kickoff track Journey Into the Self to subtle warm-up tools like the oriental-instilled Hummus and Fafnir, or the couples first vocal collaboration Pure. Fellow Cologne singer Inga Nelke brings a touch of sensuality with her soft vocal chops atop a broken beat-infused melody accented with gripping piano chords. But its in club tracks that the album abounds, found often in antithetical pairings, whether its the marriage of a Moog bassline and warm Caribbean rhythms in Detroit in Limbo or the juxtaposition of analogue and digital rhythms on In The Woods, created using sylvan recordings as percussion. Its the title track Mind Palace, however, that reaches the apex of antipolar combinations, displaying a breakbeat-heavy lead doused in exotic vocals perched onto a steady bassline, underlining the artists knack for innovative rhythms. A nod to the classic heydays of acid comes in the shape of Acid Flashback, centred around a massive synth hook courtesy of the iconic Roland 303, a tinge slightly present on the spiralling fierce cut Asmoday, albeit a fraction more subtle. Energy is one of the key traits of the album, as Branko and Niklas conceive a copious amount of hard-hitting tracks that amplify and engage towards the second half of the record. Black Beauty oozes stamina from the get-go, its relentless groove guiding a subdued bassline and minimal elements towards the peak point. With Natural Takeover, a tech powerhouse with a tenacious lead and ominous vocals, the album reaches its darkest corner of the Mind Palace universe. All in all, the artists showcase a plethora of straightforward tracks with heterogeneous sound aesthetics, where a closer listen can only reveal further and more elaborate depths. |

Monaberry founders Super Flu take on A Star Called Akasha, bringing their whimsical flair into the mix. While it retains the initial tracks hypnagogic ambiance, the rework brings forth a bouncier, percussion and string-heavy lateral that aptly makes for a playful yet sombre mood. Known for his inciting live sets, Berliner Midas104 puts on his producer hat for an interstellar journey into electronica on the Planetarium remix, bringing forth a minimal and synth-ridden composition. The Township Rebellion troupe chime in on the B side, offering up their own slice of aerial vibe on the Through The Darkness redo. Percussion takes the lead, as the artists concoct a mysterious portion of choral harmonies and upbeat strings, resulting in a guided journey out of the dark ambiance. Octopus Recordings label chief Sian takes on the Techno powerhouse that is They Cant Hold Me Back, resulting in an ever stronger dose of pitch black pounding rhythms. Taking cues from the original melodics, Sians version is a straight, relentless four to the floor upshot. |

Oliver Koletzki follows up his latest full-length material, originally encasing 13 tracks with a series of remix EPs. The first of the two sees the label head's 'A Tribe Called Kotori' and 'Tankwa Town' rearranged, totaling four brand new mainstage-ready reinterpretations. The main artist himself contributes an alternate version of the melodic electronica ballad 'A Tribe Called Kotori', the forerunner of the album. Dubbed 'Woodfloor', this variant boasts affluent rhythmical percussions, that swiftly and righteously amp up its dance-floor appeal. Chris Schwarzwälder steps up with another reinterpretation of 'A Tribe Called Kotori', channeling on its dubby layer and injecting more zest through playful drums and a subtle slice of buzzy synths. Usually known for his vibrant productions, Niko Schwind offers up a surprisingly laid-back yet highly captivating rework of the oriental folk-tinged Tankwa Town. The tracks initial Bengali instrumentation transfigures into its less acoustic, more glitchy and electronic sounding rendition. Meanwhile, on the flipside, we find Berliner Kleintierschaukel conveying the prime arrangement into a harmony-heavy exploration. A deeply immersive piece, the remixs central earworm comes in the shape of aptly crafted sitar loops. |

Lumen bears a melancholic loveliness, revealing a rumbling bass and soft, airy pads. What intensifies the mood, however, is a haunting chord progression paired with a fittingly ghostly vocal, giving the track a new dimension. Next Life consists of a back and forth dynamic piece, making use of the 1993 classic spoken word vocal-poem Get Up. Its upbeat and looming style adds a sense of impending doom, amping the tracks dance appeal. |

SVT193 | Oliver Koletzki – The Arc Of Tension
Book now! |
On his sixth album "The Arc of Tension" the Berlin based DJ, label owner and producer OLIVER KOLETZKI yet again presents his remarkable vision of contemporary electronic music, while he assumes the role of a storyteller. The Arc of Tension speaks to its listener as a singular, self contained work, which communicates by way of its natural flow and arc of suspense. The latter is mirrored not only in the multifarious narrative of the actual album, but can also be understood as evidence for its creator's long musical history. While Koletzki focussed on a diverse range of vocal collaborations on his previous long players, he now moves on to a different form of storytelling, rooted in the quiet confidence of a veteran musician, as well as the hectic lifestyle of a globally in demand DJ. The Arc of Tension is the psychonautic journey through the various continents of Oliver's consciousness. The quiet chirps and warbles, which initially unfold on the opener 'A Tribe Called Kotori', thus act as a loose associative bridge to 'Der Muckenschwarm', Oliver's big breakthrough hit of 2005. The first minutes of the album leave no room for doubt we are immediately locked into an autobiographical world of sound that knows how to captivate from the get go. The dreamy, exotic timbres of the downbeat tracks 'By My Side', Tankwa Town' and 'Byron Bay' penetrate our minds in a subtle yet purposeful manner. But soon the tension tightens and organic sounds one by one evolve towards a sterner, electronic cadence. The bittersweet neon synths of 'Spiritual Not Religious' pave the way for the complex rhythm of 'A Star Called Akasha', an early highlight carried by melancholic cellos and contemplative piano chords. The ultimate turning point follows with 'Through the Darkness'. Here, at the album's centre, Koletzki starts continuously upping the tempo and leads the way with his very own, melodic interpretation of today's techno Zeitgeist, which he has been shaping since 2015's 'Iyéwaye'. 'Planetarium', 'They Can't Hold Me Back' and 'Chaturanga' exemplify, moreover, that a fusion of delicate musicality and sheer force leads to impressively ecstatic results. With its rough guitar chords and the acidic chitter of the TD303, 'Power to the People' rings in The Arc of Tension's ending, until we fully take off into space, weightlessly propelled by the ambient drones of 'The Day We Leave Earth'. Ultimately, what lingers is the feeling that we are being granted a deep glance into the innermost being of an outstanding artist. |

Fideles and Kellerkind cross paths into a split EP consisting of six original tracks showcasing their individual yet complemental production styles. Haptic’s murmuring vocals are at the center of Vitamins, a playful exploration of fluid atmospherics. A clanging bassline provides the backdrop for whirlwinding synths, as the vocals build up an enveloping, dance-inducing tension. Wave Echoes kicks in lively from the get go: a relentless, steady percussion tied into a wandering baseline are the constant mainstays. The melody slowly develops as a fuzzy wandering pad adds another dimension, equally spacious as it is heavy. Carving light with synth sweeps and spacious reverb, Illumino takes shape as a deep tech introspection. Accented with whirring bits and maintaining an elated undertone, it effectively embodies the ever-ascending, never-releasing groove that’s perfect for peak time hours. Kellerkind steps up to the plate with Subzero, a slice of cavernous dub tech. Breathy vocals and sparse ethereal elements set a dreamy mood. Underlined by smooth piano chords, the vocal develops into a full fledged hymn that is both emotive and mesmerising. For his second take, the Swiss producer embarks on a techno tinged journey. Opting for distorted synths and a stomping bassline, he aptly crafts a near dungeon-like atmosphere only sweetened by a lush female vocal. Teaming up with Sven, they offer up Shakti Pan, a meeting point between tribal infused percussion and deep-set riffs. Hollowed out drums and bells chimes touch on chorus vocals and manage to create a highly immersive experience, rounding off the release on an uplifting note. |
