BIO
It sounds like a fairy tale. In 2005 29-year old OLIVER KOLETZKI presses 500 copies of his underground hit "Der Mückenschwarm". One of those white labels lands in Sven Väth's record bag and whenever he plays the track, the people go wild. Shortly after techno-king Väth signs the track on his techno empire Cocoon. "Der Mückenschwarm", already considered as a techno classic - becomes the best sold techno record of 2005, the best ever selling record on Cocoon and OLIVER KOLETZKI gets voted best newcomer of the year in prestigious Groove magazine.

But one would be fooled to think that this was the start of Oliver's musical career. Since he was 12 years old, OLIVER KOLETZKI has been deeply infected with the production of music. He starts out by programming Hip-Hop beats on the C64, but quickly falls in love with more electronic sounds like breakdance and synthie-pop that he produces on the first Amiga computers. When he turns 18, he also starts to DJ in his hometown of Braunschweig and quickly becomes a regular DJ in the local clubs. In 2000 he decides to move to Berlin to study music – and the excessive Berlin nightlife. He promptly lands himself DJ gigs in smaller clubs and bars, but with the release of his first record, things change for the better. In the summer of 2005 he starts to play festivals, gets booked into the most prestigious clubs all over the world and gets asked to remix the likes of Rockers Hi-Fi, Client or Cassius. However, while superstardom is lurking around every corner, Oliver stays down to earth: "I have been making music for nearly twenty years now. That provides me with a stable base for not going nuts. Basically, I am still doing the same that I have been doing for years now: making music during the week and playing out on the weekends, even if it is on a slightly different level now."
In October 2005, while still riding on the success of his debut single, Oliver directly realises one of his dreams: to have his own label. He founds Stil vor Talent, a label dedicated to pushing new artists and creating a platform for a huge variation of quality electronic dance music – from minimal techno to squeaky house to pop music. "From the beginning I wanted to give people the same chance that I've had and offer them a platform to release their music. However: the quality of the music is above everything else. Firstly, I have to like it", Oliver comments on the philosophy of his label. And he is a workaholic. He still spends hours and hours listening to demo tracks and goes out to see people play live in small clubs. Up until now, Stil vor Talent can look back on over 40 releases that include Oliver’s first artist album "Get Wasted", the über-hit "3 Tage Wach" or Oliver's latest masterpiece: his electronically influenced pop album "Großstadtmärchen".
OLIVER KOLETZKI seems to have a nose for commercial success out of the underground, which Lützenkirchens ironic afterhour manifest "3 Tage Wach" is the best example for: the track becomes the best-sold techno track of 2008. In 2009 Oliver continues this success story with the release of his album "Großstadtmärchen" – an electro-pop album featuring national and international big names such as Mieze Katz (MIA), Axel Bosse or Die Raketen as well as many newcomers such as singers Juli Holz, Pyur and Fran. With "Großstadtmärchen" Oliver has managed to achieve what only few techno producers manage can do: to produce a pop album with club credibility. The singles "Hypnotized" and "U-Bahn" get nationwide airplay on the radio and when Oliver plays them in the club people sing along to the lyrics.
But he wouldn't be OLIVER KOLETZKI if he didn't want to perform the album live on stage as well. In the summer 2009 he founds his band The Koletzkis with many of his old friends and the singer Fran. They have already played live at Bar 25, Watergate and Lido in Berlin as well as in Leipzig, Bern, Hamburg, Vienna and many other cities. For 2009 they have big plans: in the summer they will play the big festivals and will put Oliver’s music out there – from the clubs into the concerts halls, from the beach raves to the open-airs.
Label manager, producer, DJ, bandleader: above all this, Oliver still manages to fill the clubs around the world and make people smile to his energetic DJ sets. Be in the best clubs of Europe such as London's Fabric, Berlin's Berghain or around the rest of the world: Oliver knows how to perform and connect with his audience. In March 2010 Oliver will do another Australia tour, he will tour South America again and play the infamous Thai Break festival. While rehearsing with The Koletzkis and signing new hot artists for his label Stil vor Talent, OLIVER KOLETZKI is already working on his next album. There is really no stopping him in 2010! -

BIO
Since he was young it has been a dream of DJ and producer OLIVER KOLETZKI to not only play music for people, but to perform it live with a band. Having played in bands already during his teenage years, it is now, with the release of his album “Großstadtmärchen”, that he makes this dream come true for him – and for crowds all over Europe. Meet: THE KOLETZKIS. For his four-piece-band OLIVER KOLETZKI – the man behind the success of “Der Mückenschwarm” – has gathered some of his oldest friends around him who play the melodies and sounds that he created for his successful urban electro pop album “Großstadtmärchen”. There is Chris van Liebling on the bass, Björn Störig on the drums and the beautiful voice of Fran that sings all the lyrics and creates that very special connection with the audience. Oliver himself is pulling the musical strings by playing the e-piano, the synthesizer and by controlling the effects.

Albeit being a very new band THE KOLETZKIS have already successfully rocked crowds in Berlin’s best and most prestigious club venues such as Watergate and Bar 25, as well as at the concert hall Lido, and in other cities such as at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, at the Distillery in Leipzig, in Basel, Munich, Bern and Vienna to name only a few. While the hit singles “U-Bahn” and “Hypnotized” still take up huge amounts of airtime on German radio nationwide, people anticipate these beacons in the set while at the same time getting drawn in by new and other material of THE KOLETZKIS and their hypnotizing live performance. THE KOLETZKIS take electro pop back to where it needs to take place: live and in colour. For 2010 THE KOLETZKIS are already confirmed to headline some of biggest and best festivals such as SonneMondSterne, Melt! or Sputnik Radio Days. After all, pop music can work great on an album, but it’s all about seeing and hearing it live! -

BIO
Let us introduce you to the new berlin-based live-act duo Channel X. It was in 2005 when André and Mirko were first introduced to each other through mutual friends. Very soon after that they decided to make music together. It was then that they formed Channel X, however: their musical history goes further back. As André Quasar, André has been a regular DJ since 1996, playing clubs like the Casino, with his mixture of deep house and minimal techno. First and foremost a DJ, he only started to produce in 2003. Contrary to that, Mirko has been experimenting with the production of electronic music since 1996. In his heart he is a producer, a precise technician redefining his set of possibilities with every technical advancement while staying respectful to his musical roots that range from Hip-Hop, Jazz and Electronica to deeper and harder techno sounds like Alexander Kowalski. “I saw Alexander Kowalski play live at the Tresor once. That was a magic moment. It was then, when I decided that I wanted to play live”, Mirko explains.

Their different approaches to the planet of techno are a genuine source of inspiration for both of them. “We both inspire each other in different areas”, the duo explains. Mirko has started to DJ through André and André has focussed more on his production skills again thanks to Mirko’s motivation. But differences apart, it is what brings them together that is far more important: Producing bouncy music that fluctuates between their different influences, from Mirko’s sound-orientated deep and loungy aspect to André’s housy and more minimal approach. This unique combination that results in a powerful mixture of clicks, effects and pumping grooves is at the heart of the boys’ energy-laden live sets. Equipped with a machine park consisting of two laptops, a sampler, midi controllers and effects units, Channel X have been seen rocking clubs around Germany, showing off their great ability of perfect technical know-how, stage wisdom and adapting to the mood of the crowd. This is not just another one-man laptop show! Far more than that, André & Mirko only play their own productions rearranging and editing them on the go and thus broadening their portfolio whilst in the DJ booth. “When you DJ, you know how people will react to certain tracks. But when we play live, almost nobody knows our tracks. So we work even harder on organizing our live act in such a way that you cannot stand still. You have to move!”, André describes it. “When we first saw people going crazy to our own music, it was a massive rush and it became an addiction. There is no stopping us now!”, Mirko adds to the description.
After many live shows around Berlin, 2007 saw the release of their first EP on Berlin-based minimal label Kassette records. Hailed by ravers and charted by DJs like Pan-Pot, Jeremy P. Caulfield or Afrilounge, it was the busy Oliver Koletzki, – amazed by Channel X’s energy and skills – who signed them for a release on his ever-growing label Stil vor Talent. The “Bug in Coffee EP” was a massive success for both label and Channel X, receiving great press and getting in the charts of big names like Laurent Garnier, Jesse Rose, Karotte or Jamie Jones.

Not many people can say for themselves that they have played alongside Carl Craig. When DAVID AUGUST was just 17 years old, he could already claim that he had not only played with Carl Craig, but DJed alongside big names such as Format B, Troy Pierce or Oliver Koletzki, to name a few. DAVID AUGUST, now 19 years old, is the new face of Stil vor Talent, Oliver Koletzki’s prolific imprint.

It is in 2007 that DAVID AUGUST starts to move into electronic music. It is then when he starts DJing in Hamburg’s BKI club and to produce his first tracks on the home computer. However, the young producer can already look back on a long career as a classical pianist, a skill and a passion that one can hear in his productions and DJ sets today. When he is 5 years old, he starts to take piano lessons, first forced by his parents and then because he starts to love the music he plays. In 2005, he begins to DJ at friends parties before getting a residency at Hamburg’s BKI club. It is only two years later that he starts to produce his first electronic tracks, releasing his first track only one year later, in 2008, on Dimmer Records.
DAVID AUGUST’s productions reflect his true love for good music and his knowledge of the structures of music. They are full of harmonies, melodies and – soul. First he produces a few tracks together with Falk Bachert as August & Bachert. After having seen Oliver Koletzki DJ in Hamburg a couple of times, DAVID AUGUST decides to sent the tracks of the “Praha EP” to him with the subject: “Attention, this is not a demo”. His direct and cheeky approach is successful and the track is released on Stil vor Talent Digital in April 2009. Also as August & Bachert the duo releases the “Rampenfieber EP” part 1 on 2 on Konkret Records, both records climbing to the top 10 of decks.de.
But DAVID AUGUST’s addiction to music is not satisfied and he decides to now focus more on his solo project. The first very memorable result is “Trumpet’s Victory”. And again: Oliver Koletzki immediately likes the track and plays it at every festival and club in the summer. It quickly becomes one of the underground summer hits of 2009, getting plays by Lexy, Karotte, Monika Kruse, Tiefschwarz and many more. Of course, Koletzki also signs the track to Stil vor Talent and “Trumpet’s Victory” is released with great anticipation in October 2009 and directly charts in the Top Ten of decks.de, we-records and deejay.de, even climbing to number two at decks.de. David’s love for melodies and harmonies are the foundation of the great musical understanding between David and label owner Oliver Koletzki, whose sound is also very much based on musicality.
As a DJ, DAVID AUGUST is a very charismatic and enchanting figure. His knowledge in music production and his passion for soulful music gets him to combine old electronic classic with the freshest releases in tech-house, house and techno creating a soulful symbiosis that always focuses on the dancefloor. His mixing has already led him to play clubs such as Romy S Stuttgart, Rote Sonne Munich, Speicher Rostock, Berlins new hot spot Horst Kreuzberg or the prestigious Watergate, among others. In the lingo of music journalism DAVID AUGUST would probably best be described as techno’s new ‘wunderkind’. Whatever you want to call him, the young and talented musician DAVID AUGUST is more than one to watch. -

BIO
31-year old NIKO SCHWIND was born in Trier – birthplace of Karl Marx – and he very quickly discovered his own personal “capital”: his love for music and his passion to sound. It was in 2001 when he first became the chance to express these true feelings in public for what should be the red line holding his biography together: to invite the people on the dancefloor on a journey, to tell them a story with his music.
download press kit | booking contact
The young and passionate DJ quickly makes a name for himself in and around his hometown. People spread the word of his enthusiastic DJ sets, of his charismatic appearance, of his skill to transfer the energy of his mixture of house and techno onto the dancefloor, to create a connection between the DJ and the crowd. NIKO SCHWIND starts to play in clubs outside of Trier, in Hannover, Leipzig und Cologne as well as Catania and Belgrade. Also he gets booked to big events such as the Alive-Festival, Nature One or Ruhr in Love. In February this year NIKO SCHWIND is first booked to South America, a place that he already went back to in October. The call of his name gets him to play at the famous Vegas club and D-Edge in Sao Paolo in Brasil as well as in Berlins prestigious club outlets Bar 25, Club der Visionäre and Watergate. It is only logical that NIKO SCHWIND relocates to Berlin in 2007 to plunge deeply into the pulsating electronic music scene.
If DJing was his first love, producing music is his hot love affair. In 2004 NIKO SCHWIND starts to produce, intensely working on sounds and patterns that will make his productions stand out among the vastness of electronic music that is out there today. Everything that he experiences out on the dancefloor he puts into his productions. His debut release in 2007 “Panotile” on AUTIST.records kicks off his production career. The follow up and very successful “Autistic Dicso” EP in 2008 already makes it into the playlist of many top DJs, such as Jeremy P. Caulfield, among others. In May 2009 NIKO SCHWIND also releases his first album on AUTIST.records to critical acclaim.
It is only a matter of time until Oliver Koletzki takes notice of NIKO SCHWIND’s productions and DJ sets. So, alongside many releases under his project names Robert Sabo and tarifbereich_b this year, his first single on the prolific Stil vor Talent is released in October 2009, getting plays by Karotte and Tom Clark instantly. NIKO SCHWIND has just returned from an extensive tour through South America and is back in Berlin to indulge clubbers with his groovy minimal house sets that sometimes last much longer than they are supposed to. But why stop when the place is on fire? After all, it’s his love for sounds, his passion for music that keeps NIKO SCHWIND going. -

BIO
If people think of Switzerland, they think of green meadows, clear water, snow-covered mountain tops and fresh air. In the world of electronic music they think of soulful house music and a history of great parties and clubs. It is in both these environments that Marco Biagini aka KELLERKIND grows up in. In the small and rural town of Solothurn KELLERKIND discoveres Chicago house music in the local clubs and becomes fully infected with the virus of house music. 15 years later, KELLERKIND has become an irreplaceable figure in the Swiss electronic music scene.
download press kit | booking contact
When it started, it was fun. Now it is passion. After many nights spent on the dancefloor at Solothurn’s then only good club “Nachtschicht”, KELLERKIND starts to DJ, first in the bedroom and soon in the clubs in and around his home town. The warm and soulful music of Chicago and deep house remain his biggest influences when he starts to blend together his favourite tracks on the turntables. Very quickly he starts to play out in all of Switzerland’s big clubs. His clever arrangements of tracks, but even more so his constantly pulsating and grooving sets become a trademark that can still be heard in his DJ sets today. “It’s all about the groove”, he claims for himself. By 2007 Marco has already played the biggest and most important clubs in Switzerland from Zurich’s Hive, Rohstofflager, Rote Fabrik, Zukunft to Berns Formbar.
However, his career really kicks off with his first release “Bergluft” in 2008. Since 2001 KELLERKIND has been producing music. His name, which translates as “the child from the basement”, can be taken quite literally, as he spends hours and hours creating his warm house sounds and arranging tracks in his basement studio in Solothurn. In 2007 KELLERKIND meets the guys behind Swiss house imprint Sirion Recordings and in 2008 he releases “Bergluft”, a track that gets worldwide feedback. It is played by many famous DJs, charts at number 5 of Beatport’s minimal charts and is played by John Digweed on his radio show on UK’s Kiss100. After this debut release things happen quickly: Florian Meindl releases his first EP “Keller EP” on his label Flash Recordings, of which the tracks “Natural Juice” and “TomTom” chart very high in various different techno charts. Later the tracks are re-released on vinyl as the “Don’t Go Home” EP, which charts highly with record retailers such as decks.de. In 2009 KELLERKIND first starts to work with Oliver Koletzki producing a remix for his track “Since you are gone”, which receives great feedback within the scene. Since then he has already released his own EP on Stil vor Talent together with Niko Schwind, a homage to house music with a modern approach to dance music. And there is more to come.
Since his first release KELLERKIND DJ career has taken a sharp turn: he has played Berlin’s famous Watergate, frequently plays at Hive Club in Zurich and many other international dance venues. While taking the energy from the club on to his records, KELLERKIND enjoys the contrast from the weekend during the week: he produces his tracks in a small wooden hut somewhere tucked away deeply in the Swiss countryside. It is here that his warm and soulful tracks are produced, it is here that he replenishes his batteries from long weekends spent between Zurich and Berlin. “Most of my influences still come from weekends spent in clubs”, he states and one can hear that in both his DJ sets and his productions. There is always this pulsating groove, this unstoppable energy that makes KELLERKIND music so unique, and so danceable.
